Extract needed letters early. Skim your deck for letters in the sequence and set aside irrelevant cards.
Organize multiple cards. Make stacks of letters that appear more than once in the deck (e.g., if the word is “OCTAGION,” put all O’s in one pile, all C’s in another, etc.).
Place unique letters first. Locking in letters that only appear once in the deck (like G) can simplify the rest.
Avoid duplicate set numbers. Immediately set aside any cards that share a number already placed in your variant.
Spy on opponents. Spot illegal duplicates or incorrect letters in their variant. Calling “Got it!” at the right time can deal your rivals a hefty penalty.
